The
commemoration ceremony of Avicenna, which is concurrent with "Hamedan
Day" and also National Doctors' Day in Iran, was held on Thursday August
22 in the presence of Iranian Minister of Science, Research and Technology
Mansour Gholami at Aviccena Mausoleum in Hamedan Province, Iran.
During
the ceremony, a number of medical students celebrated their graduation on
National Doctors' Day in Iran.
Avicenna
was a Persian Muslim polymath who is regarded as one of the most significant
physicians, astronomers, thinkers and writers of the Islamic Golden Age.
