The Persian translation of the book "Shafa", masterpiece of the great Persian philosopher, Avicenna along with its Arabic text will be published by the Hekmat Publishers.

The
book's translator is Ebrahim Dadjoo, a PH.D student of philosophy at Tehran
University. The necessity of classical Islamic philosophy despite its
importance has been long forgotten.
Dadjoo
has recently translated the work of the great German philosopher Gottfried
Wilhelm Leibniz's "Discourse on Metaphysics".
Prior
to this, some parts of "Shafa" had been included in the book entitled
"Borhan Shafa", translated by Dr. Mahdi Qavam Safari into Persian and
published by Fekr-e Rooz Publishers.
Avicenna
(980-1037), known to the Muslim world as Ibn Sina, Iranian Islamic philosopher
and physician, born near Bukhara (now in Uzbekistan). The son of a government
official, Avicenna studied medicine and philosophy in Bukhara
