IBNA- A recently published book, ‘Studies on the Scientific and Philosophical works of Ibn Sina’ comprises an edited set of articles in Persian, Arabic, English and French about the philosophical ideas of Avicenna (Ibn Sina).
According
to IBNA correspondent, the book ‘Studies on the Scientific and Philosophical
works of Ibn Sina’ by Jafar Aqayani Chavoshi (PhD) is consisted of selected
articles from Ibn Sina International Conference as well as other papers which
have been commissioned and published by the Institute of Humanities and
Cultural Studies.
This
consistent overview of the articles on the works of this great scientist and
philosopher is now available to the readers.
In
the preface of the book, Aqayani Chavoshi writes: “The series of articles
presented here is dedicated to a globally recognized polymath, a philosopher
who is certainly considered the greatest of all ages since Aristotle. Half of
the articles in this book are the speeches delivered at Ibn Sina International
Conference which was held on August 23 to 25, 2004. The remaining are articles
ordered for to be written and translated on the works of this philosopher.”
This
work is compiled in three sections of Persian, Arabic and Latin (English and
French) by Aqayani Chavoshi. In the Persian chapters, there are 16 articles
gathered from Mohammad Javad Nateq, Mehdi Najafi Afra, Mohammad Ali Egeh`ee,
Akbar Fayede`ee, Mehdi Dehbashi, Seyyed Mohammad Monafiyan and others addressed
to the interested readers.
