IBNA- The book, 'Islamic Philosophy' (in German: Islamiche Philosophie) by a number of scholars published in Germany.
According
to IBNA correspondent, based on a note provided by Iran's Cultural Attaché to
Germany, the book has been authored by a number of experts including: Muhammad
Sameer Murtaza, Murad Wilfried Hofmann, Merdan Günes, Sedigheh Khansari
Mousavi, Ecevit Polat, Detlev Quintern and Hamid Reza Yousefi. It has been
released in 286 pages.
Islamic
philosophy which was founded by Al-Farabi, was a combination of Aristotelian
and new-Plutonian theosophies in an Islamic color and later was flourished in
Islamic countries. The book 'Islamic Philosophy' introduces different views
including those of the philosophers who were active at the advent of Islamic
philosophy.
The
book observes various aspects of Islamic philosophy and features the ideas of
Abu Raihan al-Biruni, Avicenna, Ibn al-Haytham, Omar Khayyam and other
philosophers.
