Avicenna's commentary on the Poetics of Aristotle translated

Throughout the history of philosophy, Poetics of Aristotle has been considered by many figures including Avicenna. Iranian expert of art’s philosophy Iraj Dadashi is currently editing and translating the work into Persian.

Talking about book, Dadashi said: “I have completed almost 80% of the work. I reviewed all the existing commentaries and translations and then rendered Avicenna's commentary and an abstract of Aristotle's Poetics into Persian.”

Other Islamic scholars have presented commentaries as well which have been briefly included in my book, he added.

Aristotle's Poetics is the earliest-surviving work of dramatic theory and the first extant philosophical treatise to focus on literary theory. In it, Aristotle offers an account of what he calls "poetry".
