Dr Kawka, professor at the University of Jyväskylä will lecture about "Self-Consciousness according to Avicenna" at Iranian Institute of Philosophy on Tuesday evening, 12 April 2011.
According
to the public relations of Iranian Institute of Philosophy, the lecture will
commence at 14:00 o'clock.
Kawka
had also attended the International Conference of Religious Instructions and
the Issue of Self and Body held last February in Qom with a presentation on
"Dichotomous Futurity: Avicenna and Mulla Sadra".
The
Iranian Institute of Philosophy will also hold another lecture on Wednesday 13
April, during which Alireza Mansouri, academic member of Cultural Studies
Center about the 'Philosophical Principles of Measurement in Quantum
Mechanics'. The lecture will commence at 16:30.
Both
lectures will be held at No. 4, Araklian Street, Neauphle-le-Château Street,
Valiasr Avenue, Tehran.
